STOP PRESS! the parade has been moved to the Sunday 4th of Feb due to inclement weather. The 27th Annual Lake Rotoiti Classic & Wooden Boat Parade will be held on Saturday 3rd February, 2024. (Rain date: Sunday 4th February, 2024). The parade starts at 11 am with 3 canon shots; one at 10:50 pm, one at 10:55 and 11 am. Assemble in the Okere arm from 10am.

The Pre-Parade Dinner and Captains' Briefing will be held on the evening of Friday 2nd February, 2024. Check-in at 5:30 pm, briefing at 6:30pm. Diner at 7 pm.

PRICES

Friday Dinner - $39 per adult, Children 5-11 Yrs $19.  Infants free. Venue TBC.

Parade Entry - $35 per boat for members and $45 for non-members (this automatically makes you a member). Full Parade details will be emailed to you upon receipt of registration.

Late Fee - Entries received after January 10th will be subject to a $10 late fee.

Accommodation - Phone the VR Resor and say you are attending the Classic and Wooden Boat Parade. (07) 362 4599.  The manager has put 10 rooms aside for our members. You will get a special room rate of $190 a night (usually about $100 more than that at peak time). 

Channel Drift - Free. Drift down the Ohau Channel from Lake Rotorua to Lake Rotoiti. Assemble in the car park between the lake front and the Ramada Resort. Bring anything that floats. Wearing a wetsuit and sun screen is best.

The Public - there will be an onshore viewing area for the public a few hundred metres south from the Okere Store. An MC will announce the boats as they pass. The parade will start with a canon fire.
