Commissioned in 1891, she was built with a kauri hull and teak decks. The design is based on the tugs operating in the North Sea off the coast of Holland. She was purchased incomplete by the present owners who finished the build and launched her at Taheke in 1987. She has remained on Lake Rotoiti ever since.
