Happy Days is kauri planked with oregon bearers and a cedar deck. She has been in the Davies family on and off for 34 years and was recently given a major restoration by Alan Craig, The engine was fitted in 1951 and is a WWII era flat head V8 of the type normally fitted to the US landing craft used at that time left behind when the US forces exited NZ.
